San Jose State vs College of the Pacific Football Game Oct 20, 1939 – 1st Half

This video is a classic scouting film of the 1939 game between San Jose State and College of the Pacific. The coaches were Pop Warner (SJS) and Amos Alonzo Stagg (COP). San Jose State won this game 13 to 3 and went undefeated for their only season in school history. Bob Titchenal (#36) was team captain and center. He later played for the Washington Redskins before World War II and for the San Francisco 49ers after the war. He ended his football career back at San Jose State as head coach.
